Prince Edward Island is blessed with lush pastures and fertile soil, and their dairy producers are highly skilled and dedicated to continuous improvement. ADL's traditional methods use natural aging (we don't add enzymes to artificially speed aging), but our centralized processing facilities use the latest equipment and the most efficient systems available. This allows us to produce the highest quality dairy products at competitive prices...in any market. As P.E.I.'s share of the national production quota, ADL processes about 90 million liters, or 2% of the Canadian total. Nearly 95% of our production is processed in our five milk processing facilities. The population of Prince Edward Island is small, and it has not grown relative to the growth in ADL's production. In 2005, the Island market accounted for 20% of ADL's sales. Most of our products are shipped to buyers in other Canadian provinces and territories under the ADL label, and many other private and store-brand labels.
